Canto del Bosco is set among olive groves, vineyards and wonderful woodland surrounded by an area in central Marche well known for its wine and beautiful countryside.

The property can be rented as a single villa or as two apartments sleeping a total of ten guests.

The owners cultivate several acres of vines around the property and guests are more than welcome to try the fine fruits of their labour.

As the name suggests, Il Canto del Bosco is awash with wooldand song in the summer months, enveloped as it is by shady forest full of woodland birds, ideal for those lazy summer walks.

Just 15km away is one of Italy's most amazing natural wonders - the Frasassi Caves, miles of underground limestone caverns which are yet to be fully mapped but are already one of the country's largest and most famous cave complexes. Over a mile of them are open to the public and make for an interesting day "in" on a rainy day.

The area is also famed for its wine and one of its wines, Balciana, a Verdicchio, has in the past won the coveted Miglior Vino Bianco Del Mondo, or Best White Wine in the World.

Close at hand are the interesting towns of Poggio San Marcello and Castelplanio and also close by is the larger town of Jesi, one of the most beguiling towns in this area of Marche and home to a thriving cultural life and oodles of history.

The town's impressive fourteenth century walls were built on Roman foundations and dominate on arrival. Once within the town's wall the architecture is every bit as fine.

The upstairs apartment is accessed by independent external stairs and has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. One bathroom with shower.

The downstairs apartment has two bedrooms (one double bedroom and one double with a single beside) and living room/kitchen and bathroom with shower.
