This fine 1920s Liberty style villa is just two minutes walk from the lovely sandy beaches found to the south of the Riviera del Conero.

For a family or a group of friends this villa's central location in the town makes it a great base for a relaxing beach holiday and for day trips and exploration of Marche's little known charms.

The town of Porto Recanati itself boasts medieval heritage, including the castle and clocktower and is overlooked by the nearby hill-top town of Recanati, which was birthplace and home to one of Italy's greatest poets, Giacomo Leopardi.

To the north are the magical coved beaches of Conero, reached in quick time by regular boat services from the neighbouring town of Sirolo.

Porto Recanati has an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a train station serving the main line from Milan to Bari and providing a link to the nearby airports of Ancona and Pescara, making a car unnecessary.

For those with four wheels however it is also close to the A14 motorway making day trips to Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo and Emilia Romagna an option.

An hour to the north is San Marino while an hour inland is the breath-taking Apennine scenery of the Monti Sibillini National Park.
