Casa Fagiano

Near Urbisaglia, Marche, Italy

Cottage, sleeping 6 to 8 guests, with small oval swimming pool

A wonderful place to get close to nature, Casa Fagiano is in a beautiful nature reserve in the heart of the Marche countryside.

The property has been nicely restored and with ample use of terracotta tiles and wooden beams and is simply restored, including some very interesting paintings of traditional farming scenes.

As well as the three bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room there is a conservatory which leads out to the swimming pool.

The property lies in the Fiastra Abbey Nature Reserve and is surrounded by gentle hills adorned with a mixture of woodland and fields full of poppies, sunflowers and wheat.

The property is close to the small town of Urbisaglia, once a Roman town with interesting Roman ruins near by, including an amphitheatre which is one ofthe best preserved in the region. A few miles away is the provincial capital of Macerata, famous world-wide for its open-air opera season in July and August.

Casa Fagiano is in a very tranquil place yet within easy reach of the Adriatic coast and the Apennine mountains, home to the Monti Sibillini National Park and undoubtedly some of the most stunning scenery in central Italy.
