Found in the beautiful Verdicchio area of Le Marche close to the town of Matelica, Casa Chiara is in a picturebook location. The eighteenth century house is set high up the valley side which gives it glorious views over the surrounding valley, filled with a mixture of vines, olives and a patchwork of fields, with Monte San Vicino providing a suitable backdrop on the horizon.These views are repeated from the property's four bedrooms, three found upstairs and a fourth disabled access en suite room complete with four poster bed on the ground floor. The property itself has been recently restored to a high standard, maintaining many traditional features such as the beamed ceilings, terracotta tiles and period furniture original to the property.Entry to the split level house is on both floors - at the front of the property on the ground floor separate entrances lead from the garden into the living room and kitchen and hallway. From the rear is a first floor entrance to the hallway and orginal upstairs kitchen complete with fireplace. Internal stairs link the two floors.There is much to see and do in the local area and any stay should include a visit to the medieval town of Matelica and a taste of its Verdicchio wine, some of the best to be found in the Marche region of Italy.The town's centre is home to an elegant fountain in the central seventeenth century piazza, which forms the focal point for the town. Also of note is the cathedral and several other buildings of architectural importance, including a tower and the thirteenth century Palazzo Pretorio.Situated very centrally the villa is also an ideal place from which to explore Italy in general, with Perugia, Bologna, Florence, Assisi, Siena and Rome all day-trip possibilities.ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
