Casa Francesca is a beautiful old country farmhouse located in an equally beautiful setting, whose owners are dedicated to making your holiday as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

Near the town of Cagli set in Le Valli del Tartufo in the heart of Marche's Montefeltro region (famous for its black and white truffles) this is also an area rich in wildlife and offers great walks straight from your doorstep. The fauna includes deer, badgers and fox, hawks, buzzards and eagles.

The house, which has its own newly completed swimming pool, dates back as far as the sixteenth century, with other additions made in latter centuries. All has been restored to the highest standard and the apartments all retain original features, are furnished with period furniture and decorated to the same high standards.

Close by is Cagli, a little town immersed in spell-binding beauty against the backdrop of the Appenines. It has its own historic 500 seat theatre with regular plays and concerts and on the second Sunday of August the town stages the spectacular Palio dell'Oca, a Renaissance pageant with 450 citizens in full costume parading the streets, and events taking place in every quarter of the town.

Immersed in countryside, yet close to the Adriatic Riviera and such famous resorts as Rimini and Fano as well as the mountains and ski runs of Monte Nerone, Casa Francesca is very well located.

Within half an hour's drive are two extraordinary cities of art, Urbino and Gubbio and further afield are the provincial capitals Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, the first offering outdoor opera and the second a unique and stunning marble piazza. Big cities such as Bologna, famous for its book and underwear fairs, Florence, Perugia and Rome are all possible day trip destinations.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

- Apartment Tramonto (sleeps 4) is on two floors. Private entry is from the ground floor into a spacious fully equipped kitchen, which leads through to a large living room with sofa bed and period pieces. There is also a downstairs bathroom with loo and basin. The bedrooms are upstairs. Off the corridor is the first double bedroom with en suite bath and shower. The second double room also has a single bed and is served by a second bathroom. The apartment also has a terrace offering superb views of the countryside.
- Apartment Alba (sleeps 2) is a two room apartment on two floors. Entry is from an exclusive outdoor area into a kitchen/dining room from where a staircase leads to the upstairs double bedroom and bathroom. There is also a double sofa bed downstairs.
