This large and magical Marche farmhouse has been carefully restored to the highest standards, elegantly matching the natural beauty within which it lies.

The house stands in a spellbinding position 350m above sea level and is immersed in open countryside, yet is only ten miles from the popular seaside resort of San Benedetto del Tronto.

The nearest village is just a couple of miles away and has a shop, bar, restaurant and bus stop. Other larger towns are also close at hand, including the beautiful ancient town of Offida, just four miles away, with its busy Thursday market and lace-making ladies, who in time-worn tradition still often practice their art whilst sat in the streets outside their doorsteps.

The house itself is surrounded by nearly a hectare of lawned garden and mature olive trees, with splendid views south into neighbouring Abruzzo. Gran Sasso, the mainland's highest mountain range outside the Alps at well over 3,000m, is often clearly visible and the swimming pool and nearby covered outdoor barbecue offers the perfect place to wile away those beautiful summer days.

Set in the province of Ascoli Piceno, the southernmost province of Marche, this area offers the visitor a heady mixture of beautiful landscapes, rich history, fine restaurants, good wines and a warm welcome from the very friendly people of the area.

For those interested in walking, the nearby Monti Sibillini National Park offers guided tours in stunning scenery, explaining the area's geography, fauna and flora as well as Marche's rich history as a former papal state, with many pilgrimages to Rome through the mountains which led to the establishment of many sanctuaries and churches along the way.

From the villa rolling hills wheel away towards the mountains in the west and at the top of each are picturesque old hilltop towns, each ready to tempt you into its range of fine restaurants and bars...

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

- Entry to apartment La Loggia is via a typical external brick and travertine staircase. Inside is a living room with fireplace, dining room, large kitchen, four double rooms and three bathrooms
- Entry to apartment La Lanterna is on the ground floor. As well as a living room with fireplace there is a kitchen, a dining room which leads to a magnificent portico, two bathrooms with showers and a third with a bath and three double rooms.
- Entry to apartment La Cantina is on the ground floor in the nearby converted outhouse. It boasts a traditional wood oven, kitchen living room with dishwasher, washing machine and fireplace, one double and one twin bedroom which share a bathroom with shower
