Casa Vergini
Near Civitanova Marche, Macerata, Le Marche, Italy
Secluded hillside seaview retreat with six apartments sleeping two to four guests, with swimming pool (9x5m)
Overlooking the Adriatic and the port of Civitanova Marche with the ancient town walls of Civitanova Alta and its ancient buildings raised up dominantly on the hill behind, Casa Vergini is nestled invitingly between the two.
A council sponsored cycle path passes the property right down into the heart of the port through green fields and parks along the way, providing guests with convenient cycle access to the Civitanova Marche and its wide sandy beaches.
The property is set in a mature garden with palm trees, lawns and flower beds filled with Mediterranean plants of all shape, colour and size. The relaxing atmosphere is completed with a private swimming pool exclusive to guests staying in Casa Vergini's six self-catering one and two bedroom apartments.
The property is superbly situated both for its seaviews and rustic atmosphere and for its proximity to the lively resort and port of Civitanova Marche and its links via motorway and dual carriageway to all corners of Marche and beyond.
Some of the most beautiful areas of the entire Apennine range are within 45 minutes drive and yet the Adriatic Coast and its fine choice of beaches are just five minutes away.
Marche's major towns are Ancona, Urbino, Ascoli Piceno, Macerata, Fermo, Pesaro and San Benedetto del Tronto. This property could not be more centrally placed to take advantage of all of them.
But many guests never venture beyond the local borders, very happily spend their time enjoying the dozens of pretty local towns, each awash with architectural gems, fine dining at reasonable prices and that old world romantic charm that is the magic of Italian medieval towns and villages in this part of the peninsula.
Just on your doorstep is the fine medieval walled town of Civitanova Alta, a small village in reality but with lots of fine old buildings and churches and a fine modern art collection in the local public gallery.
Down in the main town, a vibrant modern seaside resort which is home to 50,000 people, there is much more on offer with scores of restaurants and bar to cater for every taste as well as a thriving nightlife with many beach bars and clubs open until the small hours.
Marche itself is the essence of Italy so be sure to take time out to travel along its scenic routes and discover some of the less travelled roads - you will be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome, fine food and good local wine.
